1957 Maserati by Port Hercules

1957 Maserati by Port Hercules

This painting was inspired by the historical race that took place at Monaco in 1957. Sterling Moss drives the 250F front engine Maserati through Port Hercules.
Though Sterling’s actual color of the car and number were different than what is pictured, the number used here was for a more personal connection. Moss’s career spanned from 1951-1961 and was considered “the greatest driver never to win the World Championship.” Moss competed up to 62 races a year and drove 84 different cars from Lotus, Maserati, Jaguar, Vanwall, Ferrari, and Porsche.
